Meridian's Dev Underground: a hub for innovation
At the recent Stellar (XLM) Meridian event, Dev Underground became a focal point for developers wanting to showcase their projects. This unique platform allowed builders to participate in a comfortable and dynamic environment, enhancing communication and collaboration among participants, according to excellent.
Innovative projects take the stage
The second day of the event began with Bastian, a well-known figure in the Stellar community, sharing his latest project. Following him, Alejo, a longtime Stellar creator, introduced Skyhitz, an app designed to connect music artists directly with fans, eliminating traditional intermediaries.
Another highlight was David Nandwa's demo of HoneyCoin. This project has the distinction of being the first in Africa to integrate MoneyGram as an on/off platform, marking a major advancement in the region's fintech landscape.
The continued momentum of emerging projects
Gemma managed the proceedings efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions between presentations. One notable project was RampMeDaddy, which facilitates global cryptocurrency payments via Telegram. New to Stellar, the team has achieved significant milestones, including participation in the Stellar Kickstart and DraperU programs.
Engagement and entertainment
To add a touch of entertainment, the event included a fun segment with Chad Ostrovsky and William Windham from Aha Labs. The pair participated in a fun game that tested their knowledge of each other, providing a light break from the artistic displays.
Focus on the Steeler's future
The post-lunch sessions included a presentation by Tommaso De Ponte, known as Tdep, from xyclooLabs. It has introduced a new Mercury feature, Retroshades, which enables users to create custom cloud indexes. Tdep's commitment to the Stellar network is clear, as he is among the few community members to have authored an acceptable core progression proposal.
The Meridian event highlighted Stellar's vibrant developer community, showcasing a range of innovative projects aimed at advancing the blockchain ecosystem.
